Job Overview Cogent People Inc. is seeking a motivated
Cloud Infrastructure Specialist (AWS) Jr. Level to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting a large scale program for the federal government, ensuring high availability and performance. This role includes infrastructure provisioning and monitoring, enforcement of security best practices, systems administration, and DevSecOps.
Responsibilities - Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions for cloud resources
- Perform system administration tasks and optimize performance
- Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure security best practices are followed in cloud environments
- Participate in on-call rotations for incident response
Requirements Required Skills and Experience: - Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in:
- AWS (VPC, S3, EC2, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation)
- IaC tools (Terraform)
- Linux – system administration, shell scripting, performance tuning
- Monitoring: CloudWatch, New Relic, Splunk
- Networking fundamentals: VPNs, DNS, load balancing, firewalls
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions
- Scripting: bash, Python
- Git
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail, multi-tasking ability, and effective time management.
