At Avalign, you will help craft precision medical components used by clinicians and their patients every day. Our teams design, engineer, and manufacture custom, high‑performance devices in a fast‑growing environment where ingenuity is celebrated and career paths are real.

A Day in This Role

You arrive to a temperature‑controlled shop and step up to a CNC laser cutter, waterjet, or thermoforming cell. You pull the blueprint and operation sheet, plan your sequence, verify your gauges, and begin producing to spec. Throughout the run, you measure with calipers (dial and Vernier), micrometers, squares, and height gauges, log counts for good and scrap parts, and keep your work area spotless. When a new prototype is needed, you complete the setup and form to print, collaborating with teammates to get it right the first time.

Openings

We have multiple positions available: CNC Laser Cut Operators, Water Jet Operators, and Saw/Deburr/Thermoform Operators across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Core Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets to determine the correct sequence of operations
• Use inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, squares, height gauges) to verify quality throughout production
• Track accurate counts for completed and scrapped parts
• Keep tools, measuring instruments, and equipment organized and clean
• Set up and form prototype parts per print and guidelines

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant machining or manufacturing experience
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagrammed instructions
• Strong shop math skills with fractions, decimals, whole numbers, and units of measure
• Proficiency reading blueprints and operation sheets to determine setups and operations
• Capability to walk and lift/move up to 25 lbs
• Reliable, detail‑focused, and proactive communicator who thrives in a fast pace

Preferred Proficiencies

• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Setting up machines for production runs
