Job Description
We are looking for an Entry-Level AutoCAD Drafter to support our growing portfolio of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station and telecom infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for candidates who are new to the drafting field and looking to build foundational experience in a professional engineering and design environment.
You'll assist in creating detailed drawings used for permitting, construction, and site planning. Most tasks will be completed in AutoCAD, with exposure to civil, electrical, and structural drafting disciplines.
Responsibilities
Produce and update CAD drawings for EV charging station and telecommunications projects, including site plans, zoning exhibits, leasing drawings, and construction documents.
Convert field notes, sketches, site photos, and online mapping data into accurate AutoCAD layouts.
Incorporate redlines and revisions provided by project managers, engineers, and designers.
Support quality control efforts by participating in peer reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
Maintain organized CAD files and documentation in alignment with company procedures.
Work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree, CAD certificate, or Engineering Technology education preferred.
(No engineering degree required.)
AutoCAD proficiency - coursework, academic projects, or basic hands-on experience acceptable.
Familiarity with civil, electrical, structural, or telecom drafting concepts is a plus, but not required.
Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to follow established drafting standards.
Open to entry-level candidates and recent graduates with no prior industry experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
