Position Summary
We are looking for an early-career Electrical/Control Engineer with an interest in factory automation. This role will support control system setup, equipment installation, and system stabilization for production facilities. You will work under guidance from senior engineers and collaborate with mechanical, software, and operations teams to ensure stable and efficient equipment operation in automated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of electrical and control systems for factory automation equipment
- Participate in the setup, testing, and commissioning of new equipment at manufacturing sites
- Support electrical installation and wiring activities for industrial machines and control panels
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical/control issues during and after installation
- Support system stabilization after equipment deployment to ensure continuous and reliable operation
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate multi-disciplinary systems
- Follow and apply industrial electrical safety standards and automation protocols (e.g., PLC, HMI)
- Maintain and update technical documentation, schematics, and control logic diagrams
- Communicate with vendors, project managers, and internal stakeholders as needed for smooth project execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- 0–4 years of experience in electrical/control engineering or related fields
- Exposure to or basic hands-on experience in equipment setup, commissioning, or stabilization in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley) and HMI systems
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Basic problem-solving skills and willingness to learn on-site systems
- Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., CE, UL, ISO) is preferred
Preferred Experience
- Internship, co-op, or project-based experience related to factory automation or control systems
- Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET)
- Exposure to SCADA systems or motion control is a plus
