Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Location: Battle Creek, MI

Shift: 1st

Pay: $18.50+/hr

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, and maintaining organized storage areas. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and supplies.
• Prepare and package products for shipment according to customer and carrier requirements.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Ensure all shipping and receiving areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, and internal departments to coordinate deliveries and shipments.
• Operate within ERP or warehouse management systems to record transactions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment strongly preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift.
