Requisition Summary

PACCAR has an exciting Human Resources summer internship opening at our PACCAR Technical Center in Mt. Vernon, WA. The selected candidate will work directly with HR professionals, gaining exposure and experience in multiple HR functions. As a  Human Resources Intern you will:

  • Learn first-hand from top industry professionals
  • Work directly with Managers and Senior Managers

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers; Respond to inquiries from PTC HR Inbox
  • Plan and support employee engagement events: Summer Picnic, Intern Ride and Drive, Ice Cream Social, Offsite Intern Gathering
  • Assist with personnel file conversion from hard files to electronic
  • Coordinate training for managers and employees
  • Provide support for internal audit preparation
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Create marketing materials and manage updates for the HR SharePoint and Communication Boards
  • Manage/participate in special projects as assigned

Qualifications / Skills

  • Must have ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities or deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Education

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program, preferably graduating in 2025.
